Ignominious Admonition Mirage Warning Signs.

Ignominious Admonition Mirage Warning Signs.

October 6, 2006 – Ramadhan 13 1427 AH

Peace To You In The Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

After Compliments;

My name is Majid Said Nasser Al Suleimany. I am a father of 4 children between the ages of 29 to 13, with twin girls (eldest) and one married with my first granddaughter. My son is at 27, and the last is at 13 – girl in final year of Secondary School. I am supposed to be a retired Human Resources Professional, but I am still working on ad hoc basis to make ends meet – after a huge loss in my opened after Early Retired Consultancy business in Management and Marketing that went bust. I lost all my Retirement and other money in the business – but that is life for you, with its strange twists, turns and fate awaiting us the susceptible and gullible in trying new things in life.

Enough of me for now. I put a debate within me if I should write this, was even afraid to do so lest peoples think that I am a crank or may have ulterior and vicious motives for writing this. I know some family members who have just ridicule and contempt on what I write – Oh yes, I am also a Columnist (English) in The Oman Daily Observer that appears every Wednesday. The column is called Between Us Only. The column is mainly on Socio-Economical aspects, though I have written also on Management, Human Resources, Omanisation (Localisation) including some issues in the International arena. I have written a book of the same name, available in bookshops in Oman and UAE only so far.

Yesterday night Thursday October 5 I was very depressed, emotional and sad and going through my life so far and how some Institutions owing me money from my failed business were making my life Hell, despite they know that I am not in a position to pay back even if I wanted, being so far not yet fully employed. I do Human Resources Consultancy works. I sent a SMS joke to some peoples, only my brother-in-law called Mohamed Yahya responded. I got emotional and sent him as such emotional SMS. I then tried to engage him on why I was so sad and depressed in the SMS messages, but he would not take the bait. I then went to sleep. Before that I took something to eat (Suhoor) because it is now the Holy Month of Ramadhan for fasting for one month for Muslims.

I always prayer Sunaah Prayers at night as much as I can. Sunaah Prayers are extra prayers from the 5 established regular ones for the day. These prayers are between self and your God, your Maker, Allah SWT. In my Sunaah Prayers, I pray for the souls and salvation of my late Father (PBUH) and other relatives, elder brother, elder sister, uncles, aunts, my father in law, my mother in law, my brother in law, old friends and others who have passed away in frames of time.

I also pray for our Great Prophet Nabii Mohamed SAW, his family, his responsibilities, the Apostles and the Muslims who died in Jihad in propagating Islam from those times. I also pray for all the Prophets who came on earth, including first Adam and Eve, Mother Mary who bore Prophet Issa (Jesus) May Allah Be Pleased with them, and these other Prophets mentioned in the Holy Quraan, that is – in Alphabetical Order - Al-Yasa’ (Elisha), Ayyub (Job), Dawood (David), Harun (Aaron), Ibrahim (Abraham), Idris (Enoch), Ilyas (Elias), Issa (Jesus), Ishaaq (Isaac), Ishmael (Ishmael), Lut (Lot), Musa (Moses), Nuh (Noah), Sulaiman (Solomon), Uzair (Ezra), Yaqub (Jacob), Yahya (John), Yunus (Jonah), Yusuf (Joseph), Zakariya (Zachariya) – May Allah Be Pleased with All of them - Amin.

Just a few minutes before the Early Morning prayers (Al Fajr) that signals the start of fast for that day, I had finished my usual Sunnah prayers and I was sitting on the side of my bed. I was fully awake. This was NOT a dream. As I sat on my side of the bed, on the wall facing me came some writings. It was written from right to left – I know that by what you will see below. The language was not in Arabic, but I think (and Allah Knows Best in these things!) it was an ancient language. I am not sure – but I believe it could be Jewish? It was not the ancient Egypt writings, because I believe they have pictures of small men in these writings. This was written like in Arabic, from right to left. It was like a neon light, flashed for a few seconds and then disappeared. I am not crazy, mental or depressed – I actually saw it, and ready to swear in the name of Religion if required to do so!

The top sentences were written in the same colour of my heading (sort of dark blue) or looked blackish. The two middle sentences drew my attention more; it was in red font (colour) and then ended in small sentences in the same font above. First I thought of screaming, but then I controlled myself just in time. It maybe a signal for me to go to the Mosque for early morning prayers (Fajr) because I was ignoring these and praying at home. Or it could be a signal or warning of bigger things; because why it came in a language I do not understand is beyond me!

This is how it looked.

I am saying the truth. Please believe me. May Allah SWT be with you all – Amin and Ramadhan Kareem

P.S. I learnt later that it was in Jewish writings ... as they write from right to left like Arabic.

The Question still is - Why send a MIRAGE in Jewish to a so-called Moderate Arab of The GCC???????????

The Jewish Diaspora.

Note on the date - and The Author is a =so-called Omani Arab Moderate from a GCC Coutry!

Opinion – The Jewish Diaspora - Why Were They So Much Hated? – The Nazis Campaign to ‘eliminate the Jews and others’ to breed a higher class and breed of Aryan Germans – and The Holocaust

By Majid Al Suleimany (An Omani / GCC / Arab ‘Moderate’ National).

Introduction

I am always intrigued to read the Opinion column of many of the local newspapers where there is always this bashing, attacking, innuendos and condemnations of in particular The Jews and USA next – especially lately! And though in many cases I agree with some of the sentiments, points and views – I find it personally very disturbing because it only creates more hatred, angst and animosity against the Jews in particular – and the USA next – and as a National Newspaper Columnist myself, I feel we need to have more responsible and accounting reporting – and if only to avoid making a bad situation only turn more worse and stagnant per se!.

Opinion.

Admittedly the Israelis are not helping in the situation – nor so far Obama’s new ME policies after the great speech in Cairo (reproduced by me in my book A Cry For Help!) and in my websites too! It looks to me that Israel is ‘no longer afraid and scared’ in angering and in upsetting USA like they used to be before a ‘black’ president came into being in USA.

In my opinion, it could emanate too from the Jews own perception of them being ‘The chosen race – the superior race’ syndromes etc! This with certainly had led to a clash with the original owners of the land in Germany – and used and exploited by Hitler and his Nazi thugs for best use in eliminating once and for all the Jewish ‘threat’ to Germany and ‘its future’ – and thus the rise of Nazism and the coming in of the holocaust – and of the ‘in human mass murder ethnic cleansing in ‘civilised and church going’ Germany and Europe.

The question always linger – how can you go and pray to God in church whilst at the same time terminate and eliminate a whole nation – and if you believe in Jesus Christ (The Great Prophet Issa in Islam) he was certainly not an Aryan German – but with Jewish ancestry and up bringing! And that brings us to the worst in human kind, its vileness, evil, wickedness, foibles, crimes and everything else bad and nasty you can lump in together!

I look now at what is happening now all over The Western World post September 11 against mainly Muslims and Arabs – and I can see a similar pattern and fashion that had led to the holocaust happening once again – though in smaller portions more civilized and more covered and cultured – unalike what happened in reality in Serbia and post Yugoslavia – and I remember hearing one of the ‘victims’ saying that during Tito time they all considered themselves as Yugoslavs only first and foremost – and did not even know they were ‘Muslims’ because they ate pork, never prayed or fasted, and did not know even what the Holy Quraan looked like. Or where Mecca was! Suddenly they became Muslims – and enemies of the state and to be done in with and to be destroyed and to be eliminated. If NATO had not come in, most likely another holocaust in ‘civilised Europe’ would have come into being! And that reveals to me that if there is another collapse and breakdown of law and order there (the dangers more now with the economic stagnant situation) – and crazy miscreants like Hitler and the Serbian ones – anything is possible still.

I remember well this expression – Diplomacy is telling someone to go to Hell, and he is looking forward for the trip! The systematic well planned and arranged pressures are mounting against Muslims all over Europe and USA especially (like how one dresses, the minarets, the cartoons etc). However, what is happening there and the rest of the world done and executed under ‘The banner and name’ of Islam does not help either – and by even the citizens of some of these same countries – be that they are as Arabs and or Muslims (like the ‘Asian’ British Bombers etc – because of their country policies –especially in regard to Iraq and Afghanistan!

You have the luxury of democracy and to write and protest – unalike many citizens of other countries – but however angry and bitter you are – you do not detonate yourself to kill other citizens – and inadvertently your own folks and fellow believers too in the process – and as a Muslim designated for eternal damnation and hell – because in Islam killing of one innocent person is considered like killing off a whole nation. Like more Muslims died in The Twin Demolitions than from other faiths – even questionable if there were Jews too involved!

You may well say – here comes in a naïve so-called Moderate Arab talking again – in his mounted high horse! - but if you really read the Holy Books you will know I am very right, correct and ethical too!

Why Now?

I was watching this film ‘The Boy in The Stripped Pyjamas’ in which I think BBC also co-sponsored. It is a story of Bruno – an 8 year old German boy – whose father is a Commandment of a Germany concentration camp for Jews. The film looks at events and history through the eyes of this young boy – and is very touching, revealing and emotional. I cannot remember sympathizing and feeling sorry for the Jews since Schindler’s list (reminds me of the comedy Seinfeld series of ‘making out’ in the film showing – and his parents querying him – how could you?). It disturbed me for quite awhile and such films have a way of driving one to hate a whole nation – even those that were not even involved or born at the time.

I know this feeling here because I had experienced it myself and was a victim of it in the bloody Zanzibar Revolution of 1964 – covered in all my books – see www.majid.books.com and www.alsuleimany.com for more details and particulars – and here the victims were Arabs, Yemenis, and Indians mainly!

In this film (whether really happened or another one trysts against the Nazis by controlling media by the Jews) - and showing its roots of fear, hatred and animosities again raising its ugly head against Jewish power, bigotry, domination and control – and them still thinking that they are the Superior and The Chosen race – this time they as ‘guests again’ against their first cousins the Arabs! – where they still have luxuries of dual citizenships – whilst the Palestinians are still living in Refugee Centres since 1948 after creation of ‘Israel’). And the Palestinians – like the Germans – were the original ‘owners of the land’!

The boy tries to befriend a Jewish boy in the opposite side of the fence, and the innocent lives of children devoid and away of the terrible things going on around them! And the wife and husband fights of what the husband is doing – and the defence ‘we have been sworn to secrecy’ and the usual excuses of we are just performing our duties (when it is annihilation and massacre I beg to differ here!). One does not kill so many because you yourself are afraid to be killed instead for ‘disobeying orders’ from a fellow human being – but are not afraid of our God!

The German boy innocently asks – why are you in the enclosure? What have you done? And the innocent victim replies – Because I am a Jew! The Jewish boy is wearing the ‘pyjamas for gassing and annihilation’ and made to work in the camp. In one of the parts – the German Teacher is heard to lament – If you can find a good Jew, then you have made a discovery! And your Father is contributing greatly to the Nation and building a better future for you in Germany (by gassing and murdering Jews – as The Final Solution!). The German boy invites the Jewish boy to his house and he replies – I cannot because of this number! (on his Pyjamas!).

I was really moved and touched (you should see the film!) – and I remember reading the arguments for and against the film a long time ago – but had never seen the film only yesterday did so!

In the film, the German boy gets into the camp and wears the Prisoner uniform (as provided by The Jewish boy) and inadvertently gets gassed and killed together with the Jews and boy (gassing children too?) – despite his family plaintive search for the boy and too late to stop the gassing – which brings in the maxim – what goes around, comes around! One part that really disturbs is to see ‘fellow Jews’ pushing others (and themselves) to the gas chambers – and how low one can get to accept insults and abuse – and to want to live as an animal rather than as a human being! Stand up to be counted – Be a man – and not a mouse – but I guess it is easy to say these things from the luxury of a laptop!

I then try to understand the Jewish mind – which I am told is not that easy! (supposed to be a joke before being labeled anti-Semitic! But we Arabs are Semitic too!). I can now understand why and how they are behaving like this in Israel (No More To Us Syndrome!) – which strangely I may agree to - but still the Arabs and The Muslim are the only peoples that had protected and preserved the Jews from times immemorial – and proved by events and history!

Besides, the fundamental and critical point – you should not take it out on the Arabs and The Palestinians – they are victims too just like you. Remember - in the beginning they welcomed you too – which I guess was the reaction even prior Hitler (Fiddler on The Roof Film – where this favourite daughter (Jewish) is wooed by a German (Nazi) boy! The sheer large numbers perhaps scared the Palestinians – and the rest of us – and after what the Israelis started to do like the criminal crooked Begin Irgun brigades against both British occupation forces and the Palestinians too! The British did their part too – in this Divide and Rule aspect – just like in other places like India too!

Blaming a minority against a country’s economic and critical status is nothing new – Iddi Amin of Uganda did it against the Asians and he had a ‘dream’ - where God told him to chuck out all the Asians from Uganda. An ominous and dangerous development is the rise once again in Europe and elsewhere - of extreme rightist views and outlooks – Xenophobia’s - and even now those that think Hitler was right and correct to exterminate the Jews – or the Holocaust never really happened – and I think it was Eisenhower who had said – Take as many pictures as you can, because one day one bastard will come out to say that the Holocaust never really happened! I do not know if this is true either – of Franklin Roosevelt warning about the coming of the Jews to USA (see attachment). Also on Anne Frank Diary – the Holocaust survivor – and the book The Young Writer Who Told The World Her Story and the film winning an Emmy Award!

There is still chance and opportunity for the Israelis to live in peace and harmony in this part of the world and to be accepted and to be recognised living in secure recognised borders – and that is to accept The Saudi Peace Plan. The offer cannot lie waiting for ever – and many peoples are now getting convinced that Israel does not really want peace and harmony – but the usual traits and behaviours of them being a Superior race – and to control, dominate and rule others as in their blood – which had led to the holocaust – and other massacres and holocausts like the Romans too.

Will Israel ever learn? I do not think so! Look at what they did to Moses – The Great Prophet Musa (PBUH) – after taking them across God’s mysterious parting of the waves – and soon after showing remembrance and gratitude by worshipping the calf instead of our Lord! The stubbornness and the ingredients are in-built by The Jews – and that is why there is now so much hatred, animosity etc against them – from Hitler’s days – and still on-going!

LET US PRAY FOR THEM – BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE FOR EVERYONE – THEM ESPECIALLY INCLUDED!

The Theme is - Live and Let Live - it speaks for itself in volumes - and in loud voices too...

During The South African Aparthied Regime, a White SA tried to stop some unruly drunk Black South Africans. Whilst in the past they would be scared, and wait - this time they lynched and killed The white South African - removing all the power and myth of The White Man.

When those Activists in The Flotilla resisted Israeli invading Soldiers airlifted in their helicopters, I see a simile and a parralel here - and this should be A Wake Up Call to The Israelis - and those who support them blindly and with no borders or conscience....

It is time the Israelis took stock .... because they are Now Alone in The World .... and everybody is abandoning them... they should reread History .... especially This Chapter after Hitler holocause crimes in murdering 6 million Jews - and they try to come to Palestine ... and trying to break the blockades ... put up by The British Colonialists... Now they are starving the locals in Gaza ... and blockading them too ... it is not against Hamas .. but the majority poor people, the old and the sick ... and the children... they have to act now BEFORE it becomes too late for them...

Let Sanity and Pragmatisn, Sanity and Common Sense PREVAIL.

Take Care,

Majid Al Suleimany

An Open Letter!- 2007 Article!

An Open Letter!- 2007 Article!

Visit www.majidbooks.com - for more information and details on My Books (5) - and 2 being in Management....

This letter is addressed to all Americans – specifically those working and residing in the AGCC.

Dear All Friends;

Just a note before I start. When I was working in my old Company - who are now paying me my pension after volunteering for Early Enhanced Retirement package – I was complained to the Senior Management as favouring Americans in my job aspects in provision of accommodation to Expatriate Staff and with the first major batch of Americans to the Oil Company. This was before the First Gulf War. I consider myself, therefore, as what you Americans refer to some of us in The Gulf in your terms as a ‘moderate’ (pragmatic) Arab National...

When September 11 struck USA, there was complete support and sympathy from all of us for the innocent victims that had perished in this assault - though the irony had remained that it was carried out by students who were seen as too being ‘moderate’ and using American attained education and training and planes. It is also an established fact that the majority who had perished in this assault were Muslims. The peoples who had died in this crime only crimes were being at the wrong time and place, and trying to feed their families.

Then came the invasion of Iraq by two super powers with alleged enmassing of weapons of mass destruction by Saddam Hussein, which remain to date as unproved and not authenticated.. That had created more enmity and bitterness to see the ‘cradle of civilization place\ being reduced to ruins disasters and inter-communal wars and polarization. In actual fact sometimes if you look at the scenes you may be excused to think that it were Israeli soldiers mistreating and abusing the poor Palestinians, the only colonized nation on the map so far!

The world especially in our part of the world has become more unsafe, dangerous and radicalized by extremism and fundamentalised, with bitterness and extreme hatred, even amongst those dared to show moderation and pragmatism in the past. As guests in our countries, you may have still noticed friendliness, welcome, respect, and esteem by at least the majority of us who still consider USA as a good, trustworthy and reliable friend, and who have invested heavily in our countries.

Our beloved country of Oman as you might have noticed in its foreign affairs has been acknowledged not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, and with a balanced neutral moderate and flexible approach to many international issues and aspects – and in actual fact is able to talk and convince and influence to both sides of the equation, a rare achievement and attainment to many others. This comes from the great statesmanship, renaissance and enlightment leadership of our beloved Sultan Qaboos bin Said, in actual facts with established and legendary achievements on all fronts.

Dear Friends – you must have noticed also the legendary friendship, welcome and warmth from many of us in the AGCC, followed by the respect and esteem. Our countries are the safest and peaceful in the world, and Expatriates of all kinds can walk freely even late at night wIth no interference or trespass. We do not deny that there are some ‘misled elements’ and problems too emanating from ‘fundamentalism’ and mispicture of what is our true Islamic faith which believes in co-existence peace love and harmony amongst peoples of the world. In actual reference is made in our Holy Book the Quraan that taking of innocent lives and causing harm, maiming and injuries is an unforgivable greatest sin you can commit to others.

Our Islamic Religion has the same beliefs that you Christians (and Judaism) have from Adam and Eve, to the Great Prophets like Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, Jesus and Moses, Mother Miriam Mother of Jesus and the miracle birth – and all other Prophets like Noah, Lot, Solomon etc. This is a common bond and belief amongst the great three Religions of the world. The question, therefore, should be – why are then we fighting against each other, especially supposed to be First Cousins between Arabs and Jews, when we all come from the Great Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) – May Allah Be Pleased With Him?

The unjustified and cruel invasion of Lebanon has made me write this letter. You need to influence those back home especially the Policy Makers to be more just, fair, ethical and pragmatic in dealings with this part of the world especially where America has huge vested interests and where many of your remaining friends are there still. Please do not radicalize our part of the world by blind support to Israel and what it does to this part of the world. Do not allow the few misguided elements to establish more roots and roots, by tapping in increased disappointments, hatreds, inflamed anger and bitterness.

There is SIMPLY NOTHING that stops you from having that ‘special relationship’ with Israel, but still maintain a balance and pragmatism by being friends with us too. If there will be losses it will affect everyone, and my letter is intended to appeal to your conscience and remember your own history of fight of Independence – so why are the Palestinians and the Lebanese any different? Don’t they deserve too to live in peace and harmony, and to maximize their potentials, with respect, life and dignity? If you need to follow an example, there is the European Union and Russia on this front. Thus are things to remember – what goes around comes around. The younger generation now will grow into future leadership roles, and it is no god to make them all full of anger, bitterness and hatred.

If Israel and their future generations want to live in peace and harmony in a two nations state in peaceful recognized borders they have to realize that their given armed superiority will not be a guarantee towards that focus, goal and achievements, especially them being a minority in this part of the world. The Arabs and Israelis have very high potentials to tap in if there will be understanding, peace and harmony in our world. How can the rest of the world watch in silence when a great nation like Lebanon is reduced to rubbles and ruins, killing of innocent civilians and children? Where is the American fair play of justice, ethics and pragmatism? The even-handedness and fairness.

There are two parties at fault here – just blaming one part has never been the American way of doing things, though this lately has been the focus and approach. If you want to maintain our friendships, warmth and esteem and respect – it is high time you of those living in our part of the world not to remain detached and quiet and do nothing. It is incumbent of you to speak out, and try to guide and influence those especially at home, and those in the leadership.

Please accept regards and wishes – and sincere and genuine apologies for anything said that might have caused annoyance – which was not intended.

Best regards,

Majid Al Suleimany (2007 Article)

The Need For Soul-Search and Self Analysis!

The Need For Soul-Search and Self Analysis!

Dear Brothers in the AGCC – remember the rest of us in your choices and preferences. Give us chances, breaks and opportunities too, like you give the same to those others – but who may not care and feel for you like we do.

***

This column is directed to our Brothers in the Arabian Gulf Co-operative Council, commonly known as the AGCC. This is especially to the Decision Makers and the Leadership.

Dear Brothers and Sisters;

After Compliments;

Perhaps some of you may not know it – but we Omanis are now all educated and qualified, and professionals of all kinds – from Technicians, Engineers, Pilots, Doctors, Nurses, Management, Accountants, IT Experts, Human Resources Professionals – you name it, we have got it.

Oman was one of the leading countries in the Gulf that has reserved some certain categories and professionals for its nationals, like PROs, Secretaries, Human Resources Managers and others in H R etc. In actual fact we were even amongst the first ones to create a sole Ministry for Manpower. Today Oman has been a leader in many ideas, concepts, plans, innovations, technology and ‘the move forward’ (some very daring and risk taking!) There are others who have to still follow and are left behind.

Omanis today hold their heads high in self-esteem, pride and honour – thanks to the benevolent rule of our Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, May Allah Give him long life and health to continue to lead with his wise, benevolent and far seeing ideas and actions – Amin. The days when we held our heads low in shame, self-esteem and in decadence and self-pity and worry are all over.

In short, as Omanis we ‘have taken control’ of our own rightful roles, direction, control and destiny. We have never allowed others who have pretended to be our brothers, friends or ‘who care for us’ to interfere and take over our rightful role, destiny and control – especially from some ‘who pretend to be with us as brothers and friends’ – when all the time it is ‘for their own personal selfish preservations, control and rule’ per se!

Nor have we allowed them to hoodwink, fool or ridicule us by petty tomfoolery, tricks unconventional and unethical styles, though not that they have not tried, and unfortunately yes – there have been and will still be some takers, no doubt – it cannot be avoided, but anyway they are a few in numbers and it is dwindling day by day.

Oman, as you all know, is a young nation – with over 60% of the nation as young peoples below the age of 18 (to be verified soon in the next census). And of course do not forget the ‘first democratically run’ Majlis Shura elections, to start in a few days time. Not only Omanis inside, but also even those in the AGCC and other countries will have the chance and opportunity to vote also. This includes our women folk too.

In Oman today advertisements for jobs ‘reserved only for xyz educated’ or ‘only xyz’ can apply are shunned and discouraged. When an Omani comes very near to the expatriate candidate all around in not reserved jobs, he or she is taken instead.

In Oman today we have ladies who are Ministers, Under Secretaries, CEOs, Managers and powerful and influential business ladies and executives too. Omani ladies ‘drive as rough and or as fast’ as their male colleagues. In short, we are proud of our country and our achievements. Our Security Services from Army, Defense, Police etc are all manned by local Omanis themselves.

In short we are again to repeat it – hold our heads high in self esteem and pride. Nor do we allow ourselves ‘to judge all others as one type and group’ judged on a few bad apples or cases. We are all flexible, moderate, objective and pragmatic dynamic in approach, foresight and in focus too.

So dear brothers and sisters, it is time we took ‘stock of our own, self analyse ourselves’ and act as one caring and feeling family unit. To be treated with due respect, esteem and you name it. At least we would sincerely care, feel and act as we are in our own land, ready to defend and sacrifice ourselves - as already proved in several occasions too. We are your brothers and friends, not the opposite. Do not listen to ‘those who want to divide and split us’.

What we are talking about here is to help and assist each other. Our Islamic Religion and Faith teaches us to feel and have charity to begin in the home first, and when there are ‘extras or spill over’ to consider YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR, not another from another town or village altogether. We are talking here of jobs that we in AGCC that we can give preference to our own first, followed by the others in the AGCC, especially for the increasing numbers of youths looking for job opportunities wherever they can find it.

Dear Brothers in the AGCC – remember the rest of us in your choices and preferences. Give us chances, breaks and opportunities too, like you give to those others – but who may not care and feel for you like we do.

It is incumbent on our leadership to see that the causes and aspirations of the AGCC are met fairly squarely on the head. Our hopes, aspirations and dreams – we share all of them with you.

May Allah SWT Guide us always in the right clean – Amin.

The Middle East Peace Meet. (2007 Article)

The Middle East Peace Meet. (2007 Article)

I was looking at this cartoon caricature showing this bicycle but with two different opposing heads though joined together as one bike. In one direction was Condoleezza Rice saying 'Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk!' whilst the opposing side was Dick Cheney uttering – ‘Confront! Challenge! Threaten!’ In the centre was George Bush sitting over a placard that read Mid East Policy. Uncomfortable Bush sitting between the two was heard to be muttering – It might be quicker to walk. The caricature is by The Christian Science Monitor appearing in one Oman English Daily. That caricature could best describe the real situation in the ground.

Another English Daily has this picture. Below it said – A Palestinian shop owner displays souvenir mugs with writing in English and Arabic that reads "Annapolis Conference for Peace, for the sake of peace in the land of peace, Palestine, Fall 2007. Note: please keep this souvenir, but in case of the conference's failure, you are only asked to break this mug" at a shop in Gaza City (Palestine). Then there is this one - Hamas says conference decisions not binding. Another photograph shows the Israeli right wing activists take part in a demonstration in Jerusalem yesterday against the US –sponsored peace in Annapolis, Maryland – Reuters.

Is it any wonder that there is so much cynicism and skepticism in the air? Nobody thinks that after that meeting anyone will come out from the meeting to say the talks have failed. No one can say that there will be success or failure from now. It is all wait and see. The wheels will not need to be invented. Bill Clinton really tried hard to push it through including Final Status talks and failed miserably. No one can dispute that Bill Clinton was more personally committed and involved than any of the US Leaders so far. He had a stronger team with him any way, especially with the Palestinians with Yasser Arafat than Mahmoud Abbas vis-à-vis Hamas in Gaza. All that said and done, this is a conference a first time in 7 years time. Everyone predicts failures and breakdown, especially with the extreme right in Israel and Hamas not being asked to participate, even if Syria was allowed to join at the last minute with Golan Heights being introduced topic in the meet.

In my column and in my book Between Us Only, I have repeatedly called for peace and harmony between the Israelis and Arabs – since I have been writing and even before. I still do. Whether the Jews and Arabs like it or not, they have to learn to live together in peace, understanding, love and harmony in this part of the world. Israel cannot delude itself to ever remain strong, controlling and dominating with especially the so-called special relationships with USA and their unlimited endless unquestioning support and assistance. A time will come when this will evaporate. There is nothing definite or permanent in life. No one knows for sure what will happen tomorrow. Simply no one!

Just imagine at what would happen if Arabs and Jews lived together in peace in this part of the world. The likely outcome would be a block and grouping by itself to be recognized and respected, the Arabs with their money and influence and the Israelis with their genius and intellectual capacity better redirected towards usefulness in peace and development – rather than war, confrontation and domination. They are the only colonial power still in domination – a sad outcome of peoples who had suffered humiliation, defeat and the holocaust with the annihilation of millions of Jews by the Nazis. You would have expected something better that from such peoples, than doing these to their own supposed to be First Cousins under the Great Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) – Peace be Upon Him. The talk of destroying others is also all crazy unbalanced thinking rhetoric, and nothing else.

When I was studying in UK, I had an Irish Lecturer who was really close and liked me a lot. One day he opened up to say to me – I am British, but I am also Jewish. For a minute, I was taken back, but soon composed myself. I then asked him why the volunteering – though I had suspected by his name. Far years later I had a Dutch boss who had admitted to me the same – though his own surname had betrayed him to anyone who knew it what it stood for.

At different times in my life, I had asked these same peoples the very same questions – Why are you who are supposed to be my first cousin killing and maiming me? Both replied to me the same – Not to you as Omani, we like you Omanis because you are decent gentle peoples, moderate and pragmatic flexible peoples. But the Palestinians are a different ball game. They want to kill and destroy us, so we are just protecting ourselves. When I brought the subject of what the Nazis did to them, they kept silent for a minute, but remained unmoved and undetached. Time is a great healer and motivator. People forget easily. A Preacher becomes a Doer of opposite what he preaches and the betrayer of what he is supposed to demonstrate and show as an example of.

Years ago, I was attending a Human Resources course in England, sent by my good old Company. There was this play act séance where false CVs were produced, and one was asked to orchestra and simulate an Interview Recruitment Panel. At the end of the course séance, each one were asked to justify their decisions. This one person (local British) was asked to justify why he did not recruit me for the simulated job vacancy? He replied formally because he was not impressed by how I had conducted myself in the interview. Cornered he later admitted – Because he is an Arab! I will never give a job to an Arab.

The lecturer concluded – M gave you the job, though on talking to him he knew you were Jewish. He knew that because of the same surname of his boss in Oman, yet he gave you the job because he was more interested in you as a person and what you could deliver to his company with your (false) CV. What did we learn here today, the Filipino Instructor (though British citizen) asked us the students. We have learnt today the elements of bias, prejudices, polarization, lack of professionalism, principles and ethics by some Job Interviewers who have no hang ups to cut corners and make unfair unprincipled unethical decisions based on personalities and bias. They may try to justify it on Formal Objective grounds, but the truth is all-different. Later on I became the favourite with all the British students there who said that they got it all wrong – and were all feeling guilty by the stereo typing, prototyping etc they had of Arabs as the 'bad evil party' – to the chagrin and dismay of my 'opponent' per se!

Even if the conference will fail, everyone will hope and pray that it will be the start of more things to move forward, not stall or move backwards. We need peace and harmony in this part of this world – if at least not for ourselves and our generation, than surely for history and future generations. I pray and hope desperately something good and positive will come out of all these – God Willing (Amin).

Erdogan Calls Israeli Raid On Flotilla A 'Bloody Massacre'

Erdogan Calls Israeli Raid On Flotilla A 'Bloody Massacre'
Last updated (GMT/UTC): 01.06.2010 12:58

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan today accused Israel of carrying out a "bloody massacre" when Israeli commandos killed nine pro-Palestinian activists during a raid on a Turkish ship that was trying to deliver aid to Gaza on May 31.
Erdogan told an emergency security cabinet meeting today that Israel's raid on the humanitarian aid convoy "deserves every kind of curse."
The meeting was attended by the Turkish defense minister, intelligence chief, and second in military command. Erdogan is expected to address Turkish lawmakers later today.

Turkey says it has sent three planes to Israel to bring back some 20 Turkish citizens who were injured in the raid.

The attack on the flotilla has damaged already strained relations between Turkey and Israel.

Turkish Foreign Ministry officials have said the raid could result in "irreversible damage" to their relations with Israel.

Meanwhile, European activists released after the raid said today that they saw pro-Palestinian activists being beaten, shot at with rubber bullets, and subjected to electric shock by Israeli forces.

Greek activists say even activists who did not resist the Israeli raid on their ships were subjected to the treatment. They also say they were forced to sign confessions that they did not understand, written in Hebrew, before Israeli authorities would release them.

Turkey's prime minister rounded passionately on Israel today, demanding that the Netanyahu government be punished for the attack on the Gaza flotilla, and accusing it of massacre, lies, and destroying all prospects of peace in the Middle East.
"Israel cannot clean the blood off its hands through any excuse," said Recep Tayyip Erdogan. "It is no longer possible to cover up or ignore Israel's lawlessness. This bloody massacre by Israel on ships that were taking humanitarian aid to Gaza deserves every kind of curse."

The trenchant warnings, in remarks to the Turkish parliament and cabinet in Ankara after Erdogan rushed home from a truncated Latin America tour, suggested the "special" relationship between Israel and the rising Muslim power straddling the Middle East and Europe is dead.

Turkish analysts viewed the flotilla attack as a tipping point in the balance of power in the Middle East, with Israel finally forfeiting its "strategic" links with an emerging regional power.

Relations between Turkey and Israel, close for decades, have been under strain since early last year when the Israeli onslaught on Gaza left 1,400 people dead. Erdogan felt personally betrayed by the Israeli invasion.
The flotilla attack looks like the final straw, ending a period of almost 20 years when Turkey played a crucial role as Israel's Muslim ally, discreetly seeking to mediate between Israel and its Arab foes, and acting as an American proxy in places where Washington hesitated to go.

"Today is a turning point," said the prime minister to repeated applause in Ankara. "They once again showed their ability to perpetrate slaughters … We warn Israel not to test Turkey's patience." Israel had to "absolutely be punished by all means," he said.

Erdogan tapped the strong emotions erupting in Turkey where support for the Palestinians is total, but where the elite has also traditionally maintained good relations with Israel.

The Israeli attack was on a Turkish boat. Most of the dead were Turks. The flotilla was organised by a large Islamist charity based in a region of Istanbul which is militantly Muslim. The charity is said to be close to Erdogan's governing AK party.
"Any establishment in Turkey, including the army, will not be able to explain any kind of co-operation with Israel to the public. This interception killed the possibility of working together on any subject," Ihsan Dagi, an analyst at the Middle East Technical University, told the Zaman daily newspaper.

Beneath the wave of popular revulsion and anger at the Israeli attack, the government is pursuing a highly dynamic foreign policy enhancing its growing clout across the region. "Blood has been spilt. This is eye-popping," said Hugh Pope, Turkey and Middle East analyst at the International Crisis Group in Istanbul. "We're moving into a new era."

The chill in relations with Israel started in January last year with the assault on Gaza. A few days before the invasion, Ehud Olmert, then Israeli prime minister, was sitting in Ankara at Erdogan's residence. The Turkish leader felt stabbed in the back. In Davos in Switzerland, Erdogan stormed out of a debate with Israel's president. Shimon Peres, saying: "They know well how to kill."

Last year Ankara cancelled major military exercises with Israel.

Things deteriorated further this year when Israel's deputy foreign minister, Danny Ayalon, humiliated the Turkish ambassador by deliberately placing him in a low seat and upbraiding him about a soap opera on Turkish TV in front of cameras. Ayalon told the cameramen it was important that people saw the ambassador lower "while we're up high".

Some prominent Turks saw the flotilla attack as deliberately targeted at Ankara.
"A message was to be delivered to Turkey when armed force was applied although there was no need for it. The message here was to make sure that Turkey is taught a lesson," wrote Mehmet Ali Birand, a prominent commentator. "This incident will ignite our tense relationship. There is no way of fixing it. From now on we won't be able to speak of a Turkish-Israeli alliance. Yes Turkey will be hurt, but Israel even more. The bill for losing an ally like Turkey will be very heavy."

Ankara recently set down a marker as a key regional player by surprising the Americans with the announcement of a nuclear fuel processing deal with Iran and Brazil, extending its influence on one of the Middle East's biggest crises – the Iranian nuclear issue.

"Erdogan is making a big play to become the leader of the Islamic street. The Egyptians are not happy. We need to watch this dynamic very closely," said a senior European diplomat

Anger in Turkey!

ANKARA, Turkey — Israel's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid ship has ignited unprecedented anger in Turkey and driven the Jewish state's relations with its most important Muslim ally to their lowest point in six decades.

There are signs, however, that the countries' long-term strategic alliance and military ties will endure.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan furiously told parliament Tuesday that the "bloody massacre" of at least four Turkish activists among nine passengers slain by Israeli naval commandos was a turning point in the long-standing alliance.
"Nothing will be the same again," Erdogan said, gesturing angrily, his voice shaking at times.

Thousands of Turks staged protests across the country and pockets of demonstrators shouted "down with Israel!" near the Israeli ambassador's residence – an unusual sight in one of the capital's richest districts.

The pro-Islamic newspaper Yeni Safak described the Israeli troops as "The children of Hitler" in a banner headline.

But other officials were delivering messages of restraint and Turkey said it was not canceling plans to accept $183 million (euro150.56 million) worth of Israeli drone planes this summer.

"We will find a solution within law and diplomacy," Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said Monday. "No one should expect us to declare war on Israel over this."
Turkey's eight-year-old Islamic-rooted government has publicly and frequently expressed outrage over Israel's 2008-2009 war in Gaza and continuing blockade of the strip. But Turkey's deeply secular military remains heavily dependent on high-tech Israeli arms in its battle against Kurdish separatist guerrillas based along Turkey's mountainous southeastern border with Iraq.

Israel's right-leaning government said that the countries' defense ministers had agreed hours after the raid that the incident wouldn't affect Israeli weapons sales to Turkey.

The massive Heron drones to be delivered this summer can fly at least 20 hours nonstop and first saw action against Hamas militants in the Gaza war. Turkey hopes they can gather crucial intelligence on Kurdish rebels and allow pinpoint strikes at a time of escalating insurgent attacks. Israel also recently completed a more than $1 billion upgrade of Turkey's aging tank fleet and U.S.-made F-4 warplanes. Turkey has opened its airspace to Israeli pilots for training purposes.

"There are still common interests, common needs," said Ofra Bengio, a professor of Middle Eastern history at Tel Aviv University's Dayan Center. "For the time being, we're in the middle of a crisis...but governments change."

Erdogan met with the military's second-ranking general, the defense minister and national intelligence chief minutes before his speech to parliament. Although Turkey has scrapped three joint army and navy exercises and pulled its ambassador to Israel, Erdogan's heated address shied away from proclaiming a broader change in policy.

"From now on, it is no longer possible to turn a blind eye on the lawless behavior of the current Israeli government," he said.

Turkey called for emergency meetings of the United Nations Security Council and NATO to condemn the killings. But its representative to NATO did not demand that the alliance take collective action against Israel, according to a diplomat who attended the talks. The official asked not to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter.

"The relations are based on mutual trust and I don't think they are permanently damaged," said Mahfi Egilmez, an analyst with NTV television. "The relations can improve when there is a new government in Israel or when the Gaza conflict is solved."

Turkey, which welcomed Jews fleeing Nazi persecution during the World War II, was among the first Muslim countries to recognize Israel in 1948. The two countries grew closer after signing military cooperation agreements in 1996.

Bilateral trade stands around $2.6 billion – roughly one percent of Turkey's overall trade – and Israeli have given crucial support in recent years to Turkey's efforts to prevent the deaths of 1.5 million Armenians in Ottoman Turkey during World War I from being labeled a genocide.

Turkey's Islamic-rooted administration has been increasingly assertive diplomatically in the Middle East in recent years and has tried to mediate Israeli talks with Syria. But relations with Israel have been deteriorating steadily since Israel's Gaza war.

Erdogan walked off the stage at the World Economic Forum last year after berating Israel's President Shimon Peres over the Gaza war.
On Tuesday, Erdogan spoke to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon about the clash.

Ban plans a whole day of meetings on Wednesday in New York to discuss a U.N. investigation with Turkish, Arab and Israeli officials as well as with members of the Security Council.

In January, Turkish Ambassador Oguz Celikkol was forced to sit on a low sofa and was not greeted with a handshake during a meeting in Israel with Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, who later apologized.

Turkey has since begun backing Iran's attempts to quash new U.N. sanctions over its nuclear program, another irritant in relations with the U.S. and Israel.

The Gaza aid flotilla was organized by an Istanbul-based Islamic charity under the unofficial auspices of the Turkish government. Turkey's Foreign Ministry said four Turkish citizens were confirmed slain by the Israeli commandos and another five were also believed to be Turks, although Israeli authorities were still trying to confirm their nationalities.

Turkey sent planes to pick up the wounded after refusing an Israeli offer to bring them home.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim, also lashed out at Israel's storming of the aid ships, demanding the incident be used as a catalyst to lift Israel's and Egypt's blockade of the Gaza Strip.

He says "crimes" were committed against those who came to express solidarity with the people of Gaza, and that is a reminder there is an unjust blockade causing an open, oozing sore in Gaza. He says all those who defend freedom, justice and democracy are calling for something to be done to break this blockade, so that the blood of these people was not spilled in vain.

[The attack was an] inhuman Zionist regime action against Gazans.
The Israeli act of piracy against Arab and foreign activists who tried to break an non humanitarian unjust siege imposed on our fellow citizens in Gaza Strip, for no reason but they exercised their democratic right of choice.

The crimes purported this morning against the civilians supporting the Palestinians remind us of the unjust siege the open bleeding wound in the Strip; and all those who preach freedom, justice and democracy are required now to move and act to break this siege so the bloods of those free men do not go down the drains.

This is also message addressed to the Arab states who were brought to the moment of justice by those free men on board.

Use of force on Gaza aid flotilla violates international law –

MUSCAT — The Sultanate of Oman yesterday issued a statement expressing its condemnation of the incidents against the ‘aid flotilla’ convoy heading for Gaza which was obstructed by the Israeli navy. A statement released by the Foreign Ministry said, “The Sultanate of Oman followed with pain and concern the incidents of the aid flotilla convoy which was heading for Gaza and obstructed by the Israeli navy using weapons that resulted in the fall of martyrs and innocent victims.

“The Sultanate expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy for families of the bereaved, and also condemns the Israeli assault which contravenes with the international law. The Sultanate appeals to the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards the lifting of the blockade on Gaza Strip and provide every possible support to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.”

The Majlis Ash’shura also condemned the Israeli aggression on the aid flotilla which carried humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip. The assault, the Majlis said, caused the victimisation of scores of innocent people. Majlis Ash’shura calls upon the international community, parliamentary councils in the world and human rights organisations to take practical steps to deter Israel and stop its recurrent aggression on the Palestinian people and humanitarian initiatives.

Earlier, Israeli marines stormed a Turkish aid ship bound for Gaza yesterday and at least 10 pro-Palestinian activists were killed, triggering a diplomatic crisis and an emergency session of the UN Security Council. European nations, as well as the United Nations and Turkey, voiced shock and outrage at the bloody end to the international campaigners’ bid to break Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Its navy stopped six ships ferrying 700 people and 10,000 tonnes of supplies towards the enclave. The Majlis Ash’shura Office, which held its 18th regular meeting here yesterday, echoed a similar plea on the international community. The meeting was presided over by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Isa’ee, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura. The Majlis reviewed reports on parliament members kidnapped by the Israeli occupation authorities in Palestine. — ONA/AFP

Live and Let Live Article!

The Oman Daily Observer of May 30th 2010 - Between Us Only! Column.

The Oman Daily Observer of Sunday May 30th 2010,

Between Us Only!

Live and Let Live!

Those of you that think they know; they are upsetting us that really know! – Anon

In all my writings, this has always been my main theme and focus in my life – Live and Let Live!. This is what is the main problem issue that is facing the society and the world today. This outlook and focus in life that you are always the one who is more important and superior because you think you have something others do not have. Or something that you can do – and the other one cannot! Or something particular and or special that applies to you – and the other side have not.

Or that you are always correct, ethical, principled, professional etc – and you deceive yourself in the process in giving yourself extra plus points and in facing others – when in truth it is all deceit and a pack of lies and wrong perception of your own self, image and standing. Why don’t you allow others to judge you in reality – instead of self deception, aggrandising and wrong assessment of oneself?

In my life, I have met people that I have had the greatest pleasure to meet and interface with – being really nice, decent and good in the real sense of the word people. The same people that I may have had to salute if I were in uniform. And I have met in my estimation low end of the scales that want to behave like them – because they have now a few coins in their dishdashas or in their trousers’ pockets. I have met people where my instinct and bases scream – here comes trouble – and I have to outdo myself to remain cool, collected, stable, polite, cordial and amicable – and that puts a lot of stress and pressure on me as a person - with my age and state of health now!

The worst kind of people I find are those that do not allow you to speak at all – or to express your views, ideas and outlooks. For example, if you started saying about my books, they will jump on you saying who cares – we are not interested to hear you tell us anything about this – and who gave you the rights to speak as us – when it is only you saying it? And the others are confused on how to react to that outburst? The other type worst are those that can NEVER SAY SORRY – I made a mistake – or forgive me – too proud, conceited and haughty to say so!

I met this someone BIG at this Job Interview place - who was addressed as educated Dr (Ph.D) - but he was behaving too badly, crudely and abruptly for his title – because he first of all told me point blank face to face that I was praying wrongly (after seeing me!) – and second if I was a real Believer why did I want to know if my daughters and wife could drive at the location - if I got the job? For him, he was right in his perception and outlook that women should NOT be allowed to drive – and he was imposing his thoughts and ideas to others – and they MUST accept it too – hook, sinker and bait! No wonder I did not get the job!

There is this mean vicious streak that some of us are very good at – just preventing and stopping others in what they are doing or want to do - because we cannot be like them – or just the mean streak in us! Some people take great sadistic pleasure to ‘punish and reign in on others and in fixing others for good’. Actually they are just deluding themselves – live in a dream and fantasy world - and need to come down from their ‘high horses’ – and change their attitudes and approaches to life – specifically their attitudes of being so dastardly, mean, vicious, condescending, patronizing, demeaning and belittling! And taking things for granted and surety – because Nothing in Life is Permanent – except Death!

Besides, people Do Not Want to hear or to be told The Truth – or for it to be told to others – and to push all the dirt under The Carpet – so to speak! I am not cut that way – and Never Will Be! We need to open our eyes and deep self analyse – deep soul search ourselves – what we are doing now! Do not wait till the time when The Lord Will ask you!
Take Care!

Why Write It Article?

Why Write It?

 Be who you are and say what you feel; because those who mind don’t matter; and those who matter, don’t mind! - – Dr. Seuss – Writer, Cartoonist and Animator.
 Not Everything in Life that Counts - Can be Counted – Anon.
 When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us." – ~Alexander Graham Bell

For me, writing is just a hobby and a great pass-time.

I had never planned and or imagined before to make a career or life in it – and to look for money in It! If it comes well and good, if not it will be just my own tears to shed – and no one else. I just stumbled into writing after the collapse of my Consultancy – to occupy my mind and retain my sanity more. Though admittedly, I have always had an ambition to be a Journalist – but missed to get the entrance to the Degree Course after my high Secondary School in Tanzania in the 1960s.

The thing that we supposed to be Writers face sometimes in the public is being called upon - and are sometimes cornered with people that want us to listen to their situation, woes and problems - and write about them - and in letting the public and the whole world know about it. There is a very thin dividing line between getting involved in issues and aspects that do not concern you the very least - and listening and getting involved in the first place.

I do not consider myself as that type of Journalist; I stumbled into writing more as a hobby writing about my own issues and experiences – than venturing out to write about others. Besides, I am not paid that enough to do that first of all! Besides the point I have noticed lately of Great Irresponsible Reporting – in capitalising minor and irrelevant issues that need not really be reported – to downsizing and minimising capital and great issues that remain unreported or ignored.

Admittedly, there is also this mean vicious streak that some of us are very good at – preventing and stopping others because we cannot be like them – or just the mean streak in us!

I admit I nearly fell in that trap of being the victim of such scheming - after experiencing a lot of rejections and slaps in the face – and on top the same people that thought that they could push me around – and I would turn the other cheek – or play dead! Because I was in need and being desperate – so to speak!

Also those that are refusing to cover and support My Books – from all sides and quarters – from Private and to Public Domains too! I guess if I wrote on butterflies or rocks – or I was a Foreigner – and especially A Pretty one to look at – I would have got All the Support and Co-operation that I needed – but not to me as a Local writing on sensitive pertinent real live delicate issues – hard hitting – and calling A Spade as A Spade approach – with 5 books and 2 in Management – even if such books are scarce written by Locals and in English too!

Besides, people Do Not Want to hear or to be told The Truth – or for it to be told to others – and to push all the dirt under The Carpet – so to speak. I am not cut that way – and Never Will Be! It is like trying to stop a plane that is taking off – and end with disastrous effects as evidenced recently too.

Our late parents (peace be upon them) have brought us up never to lie – and Speak The Truth Always – and as is in our Family genes too! We need to open our eyes and deep self analyse – soul search ourselves - what we are doing now! Do not wait till the time when The Lord Will ask you! Take Care!
